What is a C.A.T.?
C.A.T. stands for Centralised Activity Tracker. Dexter is your C.A.T. — a single dashboard that replaces the sticky notes, spreadsheets, Evernote notebooks and scattered lists that most busy professionals use to run their working lives. Everything lives in one place, everything is visible at once.
How is Dexter different from Notion or Trello?
Notion and Trello are powerful but generic — they require significant setup and give you a blank canvas. Dexter is opinionated and purpose-built for people managing recurring tasks across multiple clients or projects. It comes with the structure already in place: frequency categories, tag-based filtering, progress charts, a burndown tracker, and a monthly reset that takes 10 seconds to set up and then runs itself.
Can I use Dexter for my whole team?
Yes. The Team plan supports up to 5 users with a shared workspace, and the Pro plan supports unlimited users. Each user gets their own task view, and the team can share tags, track shared progress, and see collective momentum across clients.
What happens to my tasks when I reset at month end?
When you hit Month Reset, all recurring tasks (daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly) are unticked and ready for the new month. Completed one-off tasks are moved to a 30-day archive so you can look back at what you achieved. Incomplete one-off tasks remain on your list unchanged.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Dexter is fully browser-based. Open it on any device, any browser, any operating system. No downloads, no app store, no setup. Just sign in and your dashboard is there waiting for you.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely. Cancel any time from your account settings with no penalty and no questions asked. If you're on an annual plan and cancel, you'll keep access until the end of your billing period. We don't do dark patterns here.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your dashboard is password-protected and your task data is never shared with third parties. We'll publish a full privacy policy before Dexter goes live — you can find it in the footer.
What does the free trial include?
The free trial gives you full, unrestricted access to the plan you sign up for — all features, all views, no limitations. After 14 days you'll be invited to subscribe to continue. If you choose not to, your account is paused and your data is held for 30 days before deletion.

Is Dexter a CRM?

No — Dexter is an activity tracker, not a CRM. Where a CRM tracks contacts and deals, Dexter tracks recurring tasks and daily actions that keep your work moving. Most users run Dexter alongside HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive.

Can I use Dexter for household or personal tasks?

Absolutely. Busy parents, households and individuals with side businesses use Dexter just as effectively as agencies and consultants. If you juggle multiple responsibilities, Dexter is for you.

How is Dexter different from Asana or Trello?

Project tools are built around projects. Dexter is built around your ongoing rhythm — recurring weekly, monthly and daily tasks. It complements project tools rather than replacing them.

What does the 14-day free trial include?

Full access to all features on your chosen plan for 14 days. Your card is held securely but not charged until day 15. Cancel any time before then and you will not pay a penny.

Can multiple people use the same account?

Yes. The Team plan supports up to 5 users and the Pro plan supports unlimited users. The Solo plan is for individual use.
